The idea behind applying for scholarships is apply apply apply! A few well written essays can turn themselves into tens of thousands of dollars! The cost of college education is sky high. It's crazy not to apply for this additional funding. Ok you'll have to write some essays maybe alot of essays but if the time is taken out now to apply for these scholarships you won't have to worry about being in so much debt later! 2014 will be the fourth year of the Hal Leonard Vocal Competition, the innovative online competition for singers. This is the only vocal competition for all of North America aimed at young singers, ages 23 and under, and one of the first legitimate competitions for music students held entirely online. Loyola University is right down the block from Flatts and Sharpe. If you have not checked out any of the great performing arts programs there you should! Many of Flatts and Sharpe's customers are attending or planning on attending Loyola University. If your plans are to major or minor in music you might want to follow up on this opportunity.
Composer Helmuth H. Fuchs earned his Bachelor's degree from Loyola University of Chicago in 1962. He vowed to give back by endowing a music scholarship at Loyola University Chicago.This award is to provide financial assistance annually to a talented sophomore, junior, or senior pianist music major or minor at Loyola University Chicago. Just an FYI, I'm not necessarily finding the current application for these scholarships. I'm simply searching for scholarship and grant links for our customers to research and find out when to apply. One thing I know for sure is that the earlier you apply the better your chance of receiving funds! The deadline for this scholarship is 12/31/2012 So get started!!!
250 Words or Less - “If You Were The School Principal What Musical Ensembles Would You Include In Your Curriculum and Why?”
Named after former NAMM Executive Vice President William R. Gard, the Gard Scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time student at an accredited four-year university who works at least 400 hours a year for a NAMM Member company. The $2,000 scholarship is designed to invest in the education of promising students interested in contributing their talents to the music products industry and to help provide NAMM Members with well-trained job applicants. The Gard Scholarship grant is renewable for up to three academic years. The application deadline is May 1, 2010.
